About Us

Company Background

Our Company was established late 2006 by the name of Goldfishpassion.com. Not many people really knew about us at that time, we were just a small importer with only small amount of quality fish to share with friends. During that period of time, we learned many lessons about the way to find a good source of quality goldfish, the importing process, stocking, QT process, and shipping out procedure. There were many things we had learned the hard way.

Paul of Ranchumaniax.com

I began as a fish hobbyist since I was a kid and lived in my home country, Thailand. I have been keeping many kinds of fish, including goldfish. Then in 1999, I came to the US and was away from pets for a while since I have to adapt myself to a new environment and cultures.

In 2005, I started to come back to the hobby again and deciding what kind of fish do I want to keep. I walked into a pet store down the road from my house, after walking around in the shop for an hour I decide to do goldfish since I thought they’re very easy to keep. Well that was it, I got hooked on Goldfish. I spent so much time running around to find some new, good quality for my collection just like every other goldfish hobbyist around the US. I had visited many venders and never find something that has quality that I am looking for, SHOW GRADE FISH!  So I decided to contact some people in my home country, Thailand, to import some fish to the states.

As the bonus from importing and ordering goldfish, I have learnt a lot of things about the way of keeping goldfish. One breeder said “Better keeping them alive before grooming/pumping them”. Luckily me I can speak Thai so I have spent a lot of time on phone conversation with many breeders and suppliers in Thailand. Their experience, knowledge and technique are not in any books I have read in the US.

A special Thanks goes to Mr. Patrick who has introduced me to the world of Goldfish and Koi in the US. He has helped me with many advanced techniques on the treatment and chemical uses on fish.

Today, I have successfully advanced in the technique of finding, keeping, grooming, pumping and breeding goldfish. However, this does not mean that I am a real expert yet! Since there is one more thing that I have acquired from my experience in goldfish “There is always something you learn everyday in Goldfish”
